As I did the calculations for the staircase stringer, that math which I learned in school and thought I would never use, came in rather handy. There was a lot of head scratching and double checking before we began cutting the big steel. It all fit the first time. We have three more small stringer pieces to cut and fit between the two upper landings before we begin fabricating the step pieces. This staircase is a very challenging and fun project!
