Today the roof of the new house was at a stage where we could explore the eyebrows over the windows. I would make one for starters as a test. Once we settled on a stuyle and size I would cut the rest of the pieces we need to go around the house. I used the MultiCam CNC router to cut the pieces. It sure was a whole lot faster and accurate than I could ever do it with a jigsaw. Brando glued and screwed the pieces together and then I hauled them out to the house for some fun. As soon as they were up everyone gathered to gander and offer their opinion.
After some discussion we decided it might look better if we tried a little wider version of the eyebrow with a more relaxed curve. I went back to the drawing board. A modified version was quickly designed which I'll let the router cut first thing tomorrow morning. I look forward to seeing the new version in place.
Harold's Concracting crew put up a bunch of plywood on the second floor in one of the bonus rooms. Janis & I both loved the space. The bridge framing is all in place and ready for plywood. As the various rooms quickly come together the house feels pretty cool. All the back trusses are in place and tomorrow a bunch more will find their perament home.
The fun continues...
