On Friday we cut the jet kabob from the work stand and welded it into it’s place in our IAAPA EXPO trade show display. As planned, it fit perfectly and looked right at home. The carpet and TV’s will be installed just before we ship the display to Florida in early October. Alyssa got the first selfie.
First test drive
There’s just a few touchups and the Jet Kabob will be finished. It is looking fabulous thanks to the talented painting crew. Peter couldn’t resist jumping behind the little beauty and taking it for a joy ride. It performed exactly as we expected. Tomorrow we’ll mount it into the booth which will make us mostly ready for the next IAAPA EXPO in Orlando which will be held November 17-20, 2020. The lineup for your selfieing the driver’s seat begins now.
Shiny and new - for now
As the first base coats of colour go on we get a good idea of how shiny and bright this jet kabob might have looked when it was brand new. The paint makes the machine look pretty good already. But we aren’t stopping there. We instead want to add some wear and tear and a little age to give the machine a whole bunch of character. That process will start as soon as we apply one last coat of the bright colours. Stay tuned…
