Top plaster work complete!
Peter, Matt and Grant have been very busy on the Hazelnut Inn of late, doing their best to get all of the high plaster work done before the cooler and wetter fall weather sets in. The bulk of the front facade of the North Star suite is now complete and looking very fine. It has sure changed the look of the building in a big way! With the upper portions now complete they will begin welding up the armature for the rock work and waterfall on the east side of the building.
We all live in a yellow submarine.
I was reminded of the Beatles song ‘Yellow Submarine’ as I entered the shop this morning. Hailey and Becke were busy applying the bright yellow base coats of paint and it was indeed very bright. By days end it was even brighter but things will change rapidly over the next few days as they start to add the glazes and a copious amount of rust, aging and grime. By weeks end you should begin to smell the ocean as it will appear to have been freshly hauled out for maintenance. Stay tuned…
