It is a passion for me to assemble relatively simple pieces to create something that appears to be complicated when we are finished. A current project is a good example. When creating the routing file I assembled various simple shapes into one complex unit. This file was then sliced so it could be carved in layers and then reassembled when the CNC router was finished. As the assembly continues I’ll be adding even more simple shapes to add strength and also form the needed details. It is going to be an enjoyable exercise! Stay tuned…
Tree armature complete
Matt was tasked with welding up the armature for the tree support of the Lola’s Fudgery sign. I’m working on the fridge bowl that will be fastened to the top. Once that is done we’ll attach the diamond lath to ready the tree to be sculpted. It won’t be long until the painting crew works their magic. Stay tuned for more…
Rivets galore
We love rivets and the waterwheel supports have plenty. Keith has now finished welding both structural steel stands which will flank the giant waterwheel. Next week we’ll begin fabricating the base structure which will hold up the twin supports. Then we can begin the waterwheel itself. Stay tuned for more of this exciting project…
