Pic without the shop clutter

It has been a while, but I finally found the time to snap a better picture of the Christie’s sign and add a plain background to better showcase it. The double-sided dimensional sign is overflowing with exquisite details and yet is still simple and easy to read. It is going to look great mounted to the giant entry building facade at NEB’s Fun World in Oshawa, Ontario.

Crow in the wild

The all-steel crow weathervane is now finished and pulled out of the shop. I welded up a sturdy shipping stand this afternoon to make sure it arrives at our client in perfect shape along with the rest of the much larger pieces. The crow measures about five and a half feet long. The giant bird looks great out in the sunshine!

Fifty-seven days and counting...

Here’s a peek at what you’ll see when you enter the North Star suite of the Hazelnut Inn. The custom tile floors will be sealed in the next few days, and a final detail and cleaning will happen throughout. Then we will begin hanging the layered, hand-sewn draperies, artifacts and pictures and the first furniture will be moved in. Outside the last of the gardens will soon be planted. The excitement is building as we count down the fifty-seven days until the open house…
