Rub-a-dub-tub

The entire team had a little time on Friday between coats of paint to mix and apply sculpting epoxy to the Bubble’s Barn sign which will soon be on the way to Stocker’s Farms in Washington state. The sign features Bubbles the pig, enjoying a bubble bath in an antique clawfoot bathtub. While the crew mixed the sculpting epoxy and applied the prime coat to the tub, I worked on sculpting Bubbles. This is already a fun project!

Dragon metamorphosis

This past week the blended coats of paint were completed on Celeste the dragon who will soon be on the way to Vala’s Pumpkin Patch in Gretna, Nebraska. The painting crew applied the second glaze on the tail section. This coming week they’ll continue the work on the balance of the looping dragon. This piece is much larger than the photos indicate and measures just under ten feet tall at the top of the center loop and on top of the horns. This should be an unforgettable place to grab a selfie.

On its wheels once more

This week, the painting crew diligently completed Vala’s Pumpkin Patch storybook land coach exterior painting. With that work done it was time to reinstall the wheels at last. This is built purposely as a lowrider to facilitate easy and safe entry/exit for our younger guests who will frequent this area. The painting crew has yet to complete the inside glazes which will trigger the installation of the seat boards to finalize the fabrication of this fun photo op. Next week we plan to roll it over to the Hazelnut Inn for some great photos in front of the Copper Crown castle suite before we load it onto the semi-truck for its journey to Nebraska. Stay tuned…
