The painting crew has now finalized colour choices and is gradually deepening the glazes to make this dimensional sign sparkle. The lettering will soon be a pink blend to tie it to the happily lounging pig in the tub above. Stay tuned for more progress…
UnderHill garden beginnings
The welding crew is down to the last bits of the massive armature inside the UnderHill suite. Peter has jumped to the outside garden as Matt and Keith do that work. The crew has also begun tying on the diamond lath which further defines the space. It is going to be spectacular! Peter started with the pool form and will begin blocking in the rock work tomorrow. I’m off to Nebraska and look forward to seeing the progress when I return next mid-week. Stay tuned for updates…
Golden hour
The gardens of the Hazelnut Inn continue to mature and fill in making the unique structure even more appealing from the street. The traffic is heavy of late as the summer crow heads up to Cultus Lake. Watching their heads spin and the brake lights jump on as they pass is fun. Many stop for a closer look and a selfie. Many look up the website for more information. In short… our long-awaited plan is working!
