While I was visiting Vancouver Island this past week the painting crew kept busy. Miss Muffet now has most of the base colours in place, including the first of the glazes on the hair and dress. Next up will be the in-between areas followed by the other bits. The pumpkin and base will be the last to be done. Stay tuned as all of that comes together this coming week…
Paint!
The wishing well that will soon be bound for Vala’s Pumpkin Patch is starting to sport a little colour. The crew has brushed down the rest of the sculpted concrete in preparation for the rest of the paint soon to follow. By next week’s end, it should be almost ready for the final glazes. Stay tuned…
Coombs entrance portal
We formed the Imagination Corporation back in 1993 as our projects rapidly became larger and more complex. The first complete mini golf we designed and built was in Coombs on Vancouver Island in British Columbia. Sadly, the golf was poorly located, well off the highway and did not operate for many years before closing. It is still largely intact but overgrown behind a tall chainlink fence. That same season we also built an entrance portal/sign for a neighbouring business. It still stands near the highway to beckon visitors off the busy road. Aside from well-worn paint, it looks pretty good over three decades later. It still works well as I observed many people posing in the arch to take their selfies.
