We are absolutely delighted to announce a new addition to our shop. We embraced CNC technology more than seventeen years ago to help us create ever more fanciful creations. It has been a very fun journey! This morning we ordered a shiny, new, state-of-the-art CNC router. We are excited to partner with the awesome folks at ShopSabre in Minnesota. In a few short weeks we’ll be taking delivery of the new machine. As before, we will be pushing this new machine to its limits and in the process we’ll be raising the bar on what we can do in our shop. Stay tuned…
Last strokes of colour
Today was a busy day with final coats of paint and glaze, touchups, and highlights as our painting crew worked their final magic on the projects soon to be bound for Vala’s Pumpkin Patch in Nebraska. I enjoyed seeing my designs come to life as real, full-sized signs and features. Tomorrow the fabrication crew will finish building the shipping frames and then secure our labors of love to them. Next week, we’ll carefully load them onto a truck and send them down the road. Stay tuned…
More colour
Miss Muffet who will soon grace the Storybook Land at Vala’s Pumpkin Patch in Nebraska is coming along splendidly. The painting crew are layering on the paint and glazes to bring out every detail of the sculpted feature. The feature is already delightful, much better than I imagined when I dreamed up the concept. Miss Muffet will look so much better when she is plopped into the raised planter, surrounded by colourful flowers. I can hardly wait…
