Nothing to see here.

It isn’t often the shop is empty for more than a few hours as our projects come pretty steady as a general rule. We purposely scheduled a gap between the projects we had scheduled to be delivered this year and those for 2025. That quiet time in August disappeared when we did the extra three pieces for Vala’s Pumpkin Patch in Nebraska. The next project will begin in the next couple of weeks which will allow us just enough time to finish painting the outside of the shop and also get the garden sculpted and painted for the UnderHill suite at the Hazelnut Inn. It is going to be a busy time. Stay tuned…

Fireplace brick finished

The real brickwork for the Under Hill fireplace is now complete The crew will trowel on a swatch coat of fibreglass reinforced concrete next week and then weld up the faux chimney along with the outside of the wine bottle shaped stove exterior. They will also begin the sculpting of the stone and rock work throughout the garden making it ready for the start of paint the week following. Our hope is by the end of September we can do the deck concrete and also plant all of the perennials, shrubs and trees to give them a head start before next spring. Stay tuned for many exciting changes through this area…

UnderHill garden progress

The Under Hill garden at the Hazelnut Inn is coming along nicely. The welding of the armature is largely complete and the diamond lath is almost all tied into place. The fireplace bricks will be complete tomorrow to allow the final welding of the fireplace armature. Next week we’ll begin sculpting of the concrete at long last! Stay tuned to watch it come together…
