Keith has made good progress on the first and most complicated frame for the west wall of NEB’s Fun World. This frame sits on the ramp that goes from the lower level. Everything above this frame needs to be level, and it has to fit tight to the sections of walls on either side. By the end of the workday tomorrow, this will be ready for the pencil rod armature. Instant garden
Becke spent most of her day at our landscape supply, scouring the massive yard for the perfect trees, shrubs and plants. She found the ideal specimens and brought them back for planting later this week. The centrepiece will be this large split-leaf Japanese maple, which we’ll barely squeeze through the wide garden gate. By week’s end, the garden will be truly magical. Stay tuned…
Roots
Matt began the first of the ceiling tree roots today. On the roof of the Under Hill is a giant tree whose roots ‘grow’ down into the ceiling of the suite below. Many rocks also poke into this space. In between will be ‘dirt’. The walls will be plaster and along the bottom third of the walls will be fabulously sculpted ‘wood’ wainscoting. Stay tuned to watch it all come magically to life…
