This week has been busy. Even so, there is always time to smell (or at least notice) the flowers. This week, the rain stopped, and the sun warmed things up just enough for Janis’s first spring flowers to pop out of the ground. I, for one, am more than ready for summer!
Copper Crown
The Copper Crown’s garden door is not visible from the street, but behind it, a lot of magic is being done. Our construction crew is busy fitting and fastening the backer boards into place. pillars and beams are being defined and will soon be sculpted into the concrete coating. We will be documenting the progress and showcasing it here, of course. Stay tuned…
A whale of a sculpture
I’ve spent the last two days on an unexpected and quick trip to Campbell River on Vancouver Island. It was good to drive up the old highway and take in the beautiful ocean views. With the sunny, warm weather it was enjoyable. On my drive, I took in the sites and art along the way, including this giant driftwood sculpture by Alex Witcombe of “Drifted Creations”. Now it is back to the studio to continue our work!
