Today was one of those glorious fall days when it was far too nice to be inside. The fall colors are now in full bloom locally, but will quickly fade in the coming weeks. The view out of my studio windows is as spectacular as ever as the sun started to drop below the horizon.
The brilliant glow from the setting sun only lasted a few minutes. I grabbed my camera and stepped outside my door to snap this picture facing south from my deck.
The trees to the left are one neighbor’s hazelnut orchard, the red bushes our other neighbor’s blueberry fields. Behind are the hay fields and then Majouba Hill and Veddar Mountain. While I don’t have to maintain or pay taxes on all those lands I do still get to enjoy the view.
It was a glorious day in Yarrow...
