MY LITTLE HELPER

At four and a half years old there aren’t too many jobs in the shop Phoebe can safely do but she sure likes to help! Although my work slows down some, having her around is worth every second. I purposely leave the floor messy when I know she is coming. There is a broom and dustpan with her name on them for the task. If Phoebe is wearing good clothes I know to put a work shirt on her for as we learned from experience that dirt and paint can somehow jump a long ways onto good clothes.

And like her helping me, Phoebe also appreciates help with her tasks. I often get to work the broom or hold the dustpan. Heavy lifting is done together for Phoebe is VERY, VERY strong!

With Phoebe helping it only takes a little longer than if I do the job myself. But although more efficient alone I would much rather enjoy Phoebe’s company!

Being a grampa is the very best job in the world!
