The truth is the paint process will take another week or so but today I finished the sculpting of the little car. The pumps behind the car are primed and the beam and sign above have the base coats of paint completed. It took a little better than 400 pounds of epoxy to complete the project - all mixed and applied by hand. While I enjoyed the process immensely I am also more than happy to go on to the next stage. I know my hands will appreciate the change of pace.
The other projects are backing up a bit as we get this one out of the way but now I will jump to them as Bec does the paint on the car. I’ll continue to post pictures as the project proceeds. I can hardly wait to drive down the highway with this load strapped on to the open flat deck trailer. As with all of our loads I am sure it will draw plenty of stares and friends waves and lots of questions whenever I am stopped long the way...
