After weeks of work it seems to come together really fast as the coats of paint quickly get brushed on. As usual everything looks a bit too bright and garish at this stage. Next will come the layers of subtle tinting as we make the feature look much older and used.

The glazes will be carefully brushed on, and then wiped off leaving paint in the cracks and texture we purposefully left on the surface as we sculpted the piece. Dark shadows, faux dirt, grease and years of grime will be worked int the pores of the car and pumps to subtly tell the story of the old gas station and the many miles of adventures the car has driven. As countless people climb into the car in the next years the wear and tear they subject the car to will only enhance the story we seek to tell. The car and gas station will look better as time goes on. Today it looks shiney and new, tomorrow it begins the journey back into time...
