Doing things in the shop for me is like eating potato chips. You can’t stop at just a single one. As I turned out the lights in the shop I decided to go back and make sure the clamps were tight. I held the metal cutouts onto the bracket to see how they looked... and couldn’t resist laying everything out, tacking it on and cutting the metal dowels to length. I decided it would only take a few more minutes to tack everything to the post... then decided it had better be welded into place nice and firm for safety’s sake. It involved setting up the scaffold and ladders... no small task. But it was fun and the work was quick. It looked pretty fine too all welded like the concept drawing. I decided to take a few pics while I was at it... and post the progress here.

As I headed for the door once more I decided I better check those clamps one more time...
