CRAZY, CRAZY WEEK

Sign

Towards the end of last week we were busy preparing for a trade show display we were to do over the weekend. As always, that’s when things get busy. It is simply the law - even at our place. I did manage to sneak in a little progress on the Vedder Mountain Grille sign however. I had to do the work between other projects - a little at a time. First I worked on the edges of the sign, evening things out and then adding a subtle texture. The scroll got a little detail on the edges and the mountain shape and texture were worked in.

Then it was time for a little sculpting to add the trees on the foreground hills and the rows of plants in the fields. The sign is now ready for paint at last.

On the weekend I manned our display, talking to thousands of people through three very long days. I gave out more than five hundred business cards. I am confident our work will pay dividends in the coming months and beyond.

Today, at last things are settling down and returning to normal. It feels good to be back in the quiet of my studio once more!

Stay tuned for more progress...
