As Christmas rapidly approaches production in our shop begins to wind down. The last few days, my time has been spent doing some one-on-one instruction with a sign maker from Wisconsin, USA. It was fun to help her discover how to make dimensional signs using a CNC router. I look forward to seeing some very creative work from her shop in the near future.
Today, after my guest left it was time to turn the page and begin to focus on Christmas preparations. A great way to put me in the mood was Phoebe's school Christmas presentation. For mre than an hour we were serenaded with joyous and uplifting music from the kids, from Kindergarten through grade six. Although somewhat biased I enjoyed Phoebe's class presentation the most as they sang and danced 'Rockin' round the Christmas Tree' for the full house of proud parents, grandparents and friends.
Suddenly it truly feels like Christmas - ALMOST.
Tomorrow is another momentous celebration - Phoebe's EIGHTH birthday. A big event is planned of course.
Saturday, December 22, as per our family tradition of waiting until after the last family member's December birthday, the Christmas decorating will begin and with it the celebration of Christmas.
