Every beautiful creation we create needs a sturdy (and beautiful) frame underneath. Some require lots of engineering and careful thought. The logging truck frame is such a creation. Parts of the truck frame and a good part of the log trailer will be seen. They need to resemble the historical logging truck we are modelling. They also need to be strong and withstand decades of being out in the weather. Today Little Matt cut the many pieces of steel and began the task of welding it all together. He made great progress. Just before quitting time he took the truck for a test drive to make sure everything was working right.

It may not make a lot of sense yet to the untrained eye but this is going to be one very cool logging truck! Stay tuned for more developments...
