When we planned our house we made sure it had a large enough deck by the front door to allow us to hang a porch swing. The rafters were strengthened to allow hangers to be built in to the porch ceiling. The framework for the porch swing seat was welded up and tested more than two years ago but it had to wait in line with the thousands of other details of the house. This week the bench was finally finished and hung in it's permanent home.
