The painting of the signs takes a long time because of the detail. Each base color gets a minimum of three coats of paint plus there are two or three glazes on top. With each coat of paint there is also the necessary drying time as well. As the crew progresses through the layers of paint the sign slowly comes together and looks better all the time. With four good sized dimensional signs on the go, plus all of the other projects the shop is one busy place.
