Peter and I each have our favourite areas or features which we have found on our explorations of the Disney Parks in Tokyo. Some are subtle and some are over the top. We've studied, touched and tapped them with our knuckles in an effort to discover how they are fashioned and what they are made of. sometimes it takes a while to figure it out for they are that good. One area that especially appeals to Peter is an elevator entrance discussed as a mine portal. It's understated but clever with tons of detail. What is real - nothing for everything except for the chain, light and sign is all sculpted from concrete and then skillfully painted to look like the real thing.
