Skallywag Bay Adventure Park is coming together at a faster pace now. While there is still much to do, the story telling elements are now becoming evident. With the installation of the rides now largely complete, the final section of the bridge and the ramp up to the top level of the park can be worked on. The rock work is progressing rapidly, transforming the bare concrete walls into rock work faces. The final large lift of the Skull Rock head happens tomorrow. Over the next weeks the landscape will rapidly change as hundreds of loads of fill are trucked and tamped into place. The previously flat site will have hills, valleys and a mountain. Key large elements will also be lifted to their permanent homes and work will begin on installing the light fixtures and other visible infrastructure. I'll be watching closely from home over the next few weeks and then return to check progress and lay out the next critical steps.
