The windmill will have a windsock mounted to the top of the post. Today, it was time to fabricate it. We briefly considered using a fabric sock but decided that in order to put on a better show (especially when there was no wind) we would sculpt one instead. To best tell the story we decided the wind would be blowing briskly, meaning the sock was stretched out tight and the pole was slightly bent from the force. The direction of the sock (and hence the wind) was optimized to provide the best angle of viewing from the park. The windsock looks home made with hand stitching and includes a patch sewn on the side for a little extra fun. As always the paint and glazes will add a whole lot of colour and character. Stay tuned...
