Today was a big day for the Hazelnut Inn project. The first four prefabricated pieces was craned into place. The large assemblies were hooked up, one by one and gently lifted into place. John Wishlow, our favourite crane guy, was awesome at the controls of his rig. Slow and steady ruled the day. As each piece settled into it's place we made sure everything was level and then welded or bolted it into place. There was a lot of cutting and fitting of braces and welding to make things secure and permanent. The four pieces took about six and a half hours to install. Everything went in without a scratch. It was an uplifting day!
