In one more day the Hazelnut Inn will have a complete roof over it at last. The hard working crew of Howie’s Roofing is doing a fabulous job. This is truly no ordinary roof for most of the shingles have to be custom trimmed to fit around the tapered towers. The North Star roof had square shingles which were tricky enough but the Copper Crown castle sports diamond shaped beauties which proved to be much more challenging. Even on the bigger flatter areas it is tricky with 24/12 slopes, endless angles and many different custom flashings. After this roof I suspect Howie and his crew will be glad to tackle something a little more normal once again.
