I’ve managed put in a few hours in the evenings this past week to work on the 1910 Overland hot rod. So far the floor, radiator cover, cowl and body sides are in place. The radiator and cowl were the trickiest to do with the complex shapes needed. The seat will be the next challenge but I think I have it all figured out. Designing the pieces on the computer in EnRoute and then cutting them on the MultiCam CNC plasma cutter takes a whole lot of the math and grunt work out of the process and speeds things up considerably. Everything fits perfectly on the first try as well! Most of the welding is now complete and after a little more sanding I will begin welding in the thousands of rivets. They pop into the predrilled holes and then I put a spot weld on the backside to hold them in place permanently. The effect is subtle but the rivets will add a ton of interesting detail to the car.
