Wooden style

Yesterday, as quitting time quickly rolled around I got to finish up the welding of the tree base for the Pie Barn sign. Then at last it was time to weld the rolling pin in place and carve in the final woodgrain by hand with an air-powered die grinder. I’ve been eagerly awaiting this task since I did the design some weeks ago. Thankfully, it turned out as amazing as I imagined it when I was drawing. I love it when a plan comes together! The scale of the piece becomes apparent when you see the tape measure on the right side on top of the bracket. We’ll sculpt the tree this coming week and then we’ll turn it over to Becke and Alyssa to work their paint magic on the piece. Stay tuned…
