Today, I managed a little time on the hot rod project. The task of the hour was to measure, design, cut and fit the last floorboard panel for the interior. Janis has promised to sew up a nice shift lever boot using some recycled jean material. The fancy wiring conduits are installed and run up under the dash beside the drink holder. The five conduits take up some valuable passenger foot room but that is offset with the cool factor. The fuse panel, battery and other electronics will be housed under the bench seat to keep them out of the weather. Just in front of the seat riser I fabricated a junction box with controls and a pressure gauge as well. The gas & brake pedals are also permanently in place. It is time to begin the wiring!
