For many years our main sign out by the road was framed with tall grasses. These grasses looked great at the start but each year they grew larger, eventually overpowering our sign. This spring we waded into the little garden and hacked them out (much to my delight). The grasses were saved and transplanted elsewhere on our property and are doing well.. The remaining evergreen shrubs appreciate the extra sunlight and have grown a lot in the months since. The sign looks better than ever!
