I got this!

Today was concrete day. We poured the base/ballast into the bottom of the sign support that will soon heading up to the Northwest Territories. We also poured a bunch of concrete footings at the Hazelnut Inn. Henry was very excited to see the giant concrete truck back into the driveway. He was fascinated with how the concrete came down the shoot but as we began flattening the concrete he wasn’t content to stay on the safe side of the fence with grandma. He wanted to trowel too! I first gave him basic instructions on how to lift the leading edge of the towel as I moved it back and forth. He gave me one of ‘those’ looks as he reached for the trowel and told me ‘I got this grampa!’ And he did just fine! This boy is a natural!
