We draw many concept art pieces each year. They have multiple purposes. These initial drawings need to sell our ideas of course. The customer looks at the artwork and then has to be able to visualize the final result. The concept art needs to build the trust to allow us to proceed. We also use the concepts to figure out how we will build the project and to calculate how much it will cost to construct. Sight lines, lighting and construction materials are all decided at this early stage. Then the actual build begins with the lofty goal of making the final result look even better than what we first imagined.
