Working only with some very small and blurry, old photographs as reference we did the first sculpt of Grandma Vala. Her head measures about sixteen inches in height. It was definitely a challenge. Grant laboriously mixed the epoxy while I shaped it, layer upon layer on the sign. It took much of the day to complete. Today, Becke applied the first base coat of paint while we worked behind her on the second Grandma sign, double the size of the first. That sculpt will be finished tomorrow.
