Our instructions from our client, as we designed the witch themed land was to make it appealing to families, especially those with young kids. Things couldn’t be too scary. Our fun, cartoon style certainly helped, but we also chose the imagery carefully. We also did a lot of research on all things witchy. Stories and fairy tales, often told to young children also provided a lot of material to work with. One feature we wanted to include was a bridge and a bridge in a witch themed land simply had to have a troll under it. Our troll is tucked under one side of the bridge. He’s very large but not overly menacing. A sign will be posted on the path approaching the bridge to let guests know he’s hiding there. We wouldn’t want to startle the troll.
