With the blend coats of paint now finished on the submarine it was time to apply the lettering. The project called for old school hand lettering rather than plastic decals. I did up the artwork and pulled out our trusty overhead projector to make it easy and quick. In less than an hour the artwork was double coated. The letters spell ‘NEBS’ - referring to ‘Nautical Exploration Beneath Surface’. They also reference NEB’s Fun World where the sub and its support gantry will form a very grand entrance to a mini golf quite unlike any other. Tomorrow, Becke will begin applying the glazes and aging. It’s going to look fabulous. Stay tuned…
