A snow storm inside!

This week the temperatures are about as cold as it ever gets in these parts. It’s -13 C ( - 18 C or 0 F with the wind chill) The wind is howling and there’s more than a little fresh snow. The drifts were as high as four feet in places making it difficult to get around outside. Our metal shop, which isn’t heated, got more than the usual dusting of the white stuff inside. The top vent goes all around the top portion of the walls which lets out the smoke from the plasma cutting and welding. When we opened the shop door to do some work today we were greeted with an 18” deep drift. We’ve never had to shovel snow in the shop previously. The back doors of the shop were drifted shut as well, making for some serious work to get the tractor out to clear the driveway. Hopefully new snow holds off until Thursday as we get a huge steel delivery tomorrow. It’s going to be a whole lot of fun unloading in the snow and ice!
