Peter did the bulk of the design and fabrication on the massive, decorative base of the giant pump, making it easy for Matt and I to almost finish things off this afternoon. This piece is a whole lot more complex than it appears and contains a whole lot of welding! It will look fabulous when it is installed. It splits into two pieces and seamlessly fits around the base of the pump to safely hide the bolts and access hole for the plumbing. One more hour of welding and grinding will make it ready for paint tomorrow.
