The third large structure under construction in our shop is a double stone archway. It is designed from the start to be easily lifted, moved and installed despite its heavy weight when it is finished. Once the heavier steel pieces are welded in place Matt uses smaller steel members to triangulate the structure to help it resist flexing when it is moved.
