Today’s task was to sculpt the head of the dragon for top of the Jade City mini golf entrance arch for NEB’s Fun City in Oshawa, Ontario. Grant kept busy mixing and delivering the perfect batches of fibreglass reinforced concrete. Peter and Matt expertly troweled it on and then when it had cured sufficiently to be stiff. The idea was to create a ‘jade’ sculpture which looked ‘authentic’ to a long lost culture. The sculpture of the dragon head already has a lot of character and the paint will complete the magic.
