Working on Henry's dino car

Henry’s been excitedly looking forward to today (Saturday) all week. He knew I would at last be able to spend some time with him in the shop. That, of course, meant working on Henry’s dinosaur car. Before we worked on the vehicle we needed to get out the forklift and move some features to make us some room. Then it was time for a lengthy test drive of the dino car, which Henry enjoyed immensely. Once we got around to parking the vehicle in the shop it was time to get to work. Henry’s been around enough to know the next step was to attach some galvanized lath. He helped as much as he could with his own set of nippers and snips as we cut the lath and twisted wires to attach it. We got the dino’s neck and right arm covered with mesh before Henry’s attention span demanded something new. It was time for sculpting. Henry and I mixed the first batch of sculpting epoxy and then applied it. Luckily, Henry’s dad arrived to pick up Henry and was kind enough to mix us some sculpt before it was time to put away the tools and head home. Henry was happy with our progress and is already looking forward to the next opportunity we do some more!
