On Friday, I welded the remaining armature of the dragon which is soon to be bound for the Secret Garden mini golf at Castle Fun Park. Much of my time was spent welding up the finicky armature details of the hands, wings and the flowers he holds. The mushroom that the dragon sits on is largely framed but I will be extending the rim of the mushroom about six inches all of the way around. Once that’s done I can fabricate his legs and feet before moving on to some smaller mushrooms on each side and a fun, undulating fence that will separate the golf greens which will be front and back of the dragon. I meet with the engineer tomorrow as well to do the site inspection for him to design the required footings we’ll need to set the larger pieces. It is going to be a busy but fun day!
