The crew came in eager to do some serious sculpting. We did our best to make that wish come true. The project at hand was the fancy wishing well for Castle Fun Park. It’s a complex sculpting piece with plenty of tricky, hard-to-reach and upside-down surfaces. We discussed a plan of action and then set to work. But, as always, the crew got ambitious and decided to tackle much more than the original plan we had decided at the beginning. I was busy at my design table in the studio as they applied the concrete and when I poked back into the shop at coffee time, the entire top portion was mudded - along with the two giant logs that form the sides of the golfing ramp. I had a meeting scheduled out of the office and when I returned in the afternoon they ‘encouraged’ me to break out the sculpting tools to give them a hand. The entire crew worked hard and thankfully things went extremely well. We managed to finish the sculpting and clean up with minutes to spare before our regular quitting time. Tomorrow’s task will be much easier as there are only the lower sections left to sculpt. Best of all a three-day sculpt will be accomplished in only two, thanks to our hard-working and talented crew!
