The sculpting crew is busy applying the fibreglass-reinforced concrete and carving it to look like dirt banks, timbers, roots and rocks. Peter is doing his best to stay ahead of them with the myriad of details that will be impossible once the sculpted plaster is in place. This work includes the sprinkler heads, plugs, switches and light boxes, venting grills and all of the backing for rails, handles and shelving. Today Peter was welding in the giant bent nails that will be used for curtain rods, picture hooks and swag lighting hooks. He’s almost done - which is a good thing because the mud crew isn’t far behind.
