Hand-sculpting realistic wood grain into our special concrete mix is a delicate art that takes much practice and study. Matt is a true master. The key is to sculpt it in such a way with plenty of deep texture so that it will be easy to paint and glaze as it is finished. Each piece of heavy timber needs to be unique to be believable. The fifty-two-foot wide by thirty-five-foot tall building facade will have scores of timbers, and hundreds of stones, along with thousands of bricks and shingles.
