The two vintage gas pumps for Syl’s Mini Golf are now ready for their sculpted concrete skin . The clubhouse will be themed as a 1960’s style gas station. This coming week only has four work days due to the Canadian Thanksgiving holiday plus we will be getting ready for our first workshop which begins next Sunday so we may not get to the task for a little while.
Lots of progress!
It’s been a very busy week in the shop with a wide variety of projects on the go. We’ve been busy with preparations for the fast approaching Sculpture Magic Workshops. The trade show booth is all shined up and ready to send off next Tuesday. We’ve also been busy fabricating the armatures for the mini golf at Syl’s Drive-in in Carmen, Manitoba. A couple of the pieces are now ready for the hand sculpted fibre-glass reinforced concrete.
Almost ready!
We hauled the trade show booth outside in the sunshine to give it a quick pressure wash and cleaning. Then the fish submersible was securely mounted to the base in the centre of the display. We still have a little touchup and a few more details to add but by mid-day tomorrow it should be ready for shipping to the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions EXPO to be held in Orlando, Florida. We’ll be at booth number 671. Our display will be loaded into a long distance hauler early next week for the show that starts on November 19, 2019.
