I endure a constant barrage of grief and ribbing every time we reposition my rolling workbench because it is a little heavy. On one end is mounted a large steel vice and on the other is a good-sized antique anvil. Both are prized tools I use frequently, well worth a little extra effort to move the bench when we need to. The fact is, I am sure the ribbing I endure is because of tool envy. Yesterday I came into the shop to find Peter using the beautiful vice and anvil to shape some steel leaves we required for the pumpkin carriage. I couldn’t resist snapping a picture and noted the huge joy on Peter’s face as he worked. Pictures don’t lie.
CNC plasma school day!
We were extremely pleased to welcome Russel and Charlie from FastCut CNC to our shop today for a quick education workshop to help us use our CNC plasma cutter more efficiently. These guys are passionate and very knowledgeable about all things CNC plasma! We also were pleased to show them around our shop and a few of our recent projects. We recommend them wholeheartedly if you are in the market for an awesome CNC plasma and want a great team to work with!
The fish came home
While Peter hauled the fish submarine home from 1881 yesterday, I started preparing to place it in its new home at the front of our property. I measured out a circle and cut the sod. It only took a few minutes with our little backhoe and a rake to level the ground and after a quick test fit to make sure everything was right and everyone approved we assembled the submarine and the fenced base to complete the display. It wasn’t long until the new display attracted passersby to snap a selfie.
