Final door post
The sculpting crew in the Under Hill suite of the Hazelnut Inn continue to jump around the suite. One of today’s projects was the final timber of the bathroom door. Matt worked his magic on the intricate woodgrain. Just to the right, Peter installed the welded steel cabinetry in preparation for the cast concrete countertop, which will be poured later this week. Rusty dragon
This weekend I was giving a friend a tour of our work at the Hazelnut Inn. It has been a while since I took a good look at the garden gate of the Copper Crown suite. We fabricated the door quite some time ago and then allowed it to acquire a natural coat of rust patina. The rust is now very even across the door and looks as we imagined. We can hardly wait to begin the finishing work inside which will be started when the Under Hill is complete. Stay tuned…
