ALL’S WELL THAT ENDS WELL

Somehow it seems that the days that seem to be most frantic always end up the most rewarding when the dust settles. When I am in the thick of it I forget that although I may be somewhat flustered, things are getting done... even if it isn’t going very smoothly at times.

Today was one of those days. We all have them. It’s Friday and two deadlines were pressing. I had to print and assemble two proposals, burn DVD’s and have it all ready for the courier by the 1:00 pm deadline. When deadlines loom it’s a perfect time for last minute changes to be necessary. The more I rush the longer it seems to take to tweak things perfectly. But all was well in the end. It all got to where it needed to be with minutes to spare. With the rushed pace this morning coffee break didn’t happen and lunch was postponed until mid afternoon. Then all the things I had put off during the morning rush needed to be done of course.

Somehow it all got  completed. As I finished the last task I looked up from my desk and witnessed the most spectacular sunset. Rolling mists partially blocked the mountain but the sun peeked under the heavy clouds to cast a golden glow over everything. I grabbed my camera and snapped a bunch of shots - this one being my favorite of the lot.

It was a peaceful end to a somewhat frantic day.
